This is not your average Overseer role.

As Livestock Overseer at Telopea Downs, you will be a key member of the leadership team on a large-scale mixed enterprise spanning approximately 47,600 hectares. You will have responsibility for overseeing one section of the overall operation and leading a small team on a day-to-day basis, with support from the Manager – Livestock Operations and the General Manager.

We are seeking someone with current and relevant agricultural experience. You may already be working in a similar role and looking to step into a larger-scale operation, or you may be a Senior Station Hand (3+ years’ experience) ready to take the next step into leadership. In either case, if you bring drive, initiative and a strong work ethic, we would be keen to hear from you.

Key skills and experience:

• Strong livestock handling and animal husbandry skills

• Sound knowledge of pasture management and rotational grazing systems

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• High attention to detail, including reporting and data collection (working knowledge of AgriWebb highly regarded)

• Proven time management and organisational skills

• Demonstrated professional standards of work and behaviour

• Ability to train, mentor and motivate staff, and act as a positive role model

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices

• At least one trained and effective working dog

• Experience riding and working on 2-wheeled motorbikes (motorbike licence preferred or willingness to obtain essential)
